Taking Archie Seriously

Do we take comics seriously at L&H Blog? Yes, we do, and so does University of Calgary prof Bart Beaty.  He takes them so seriously that he has written a new book, Twelve Cent Archie, about the popular character and his buddies, for Rutgers University Press. While the link between a work about (strictly) pop culture and law might seem tenuous, what goes on in ComicBookLand always has some link with law. After all, you're dealing with human (or species) interaction, and where there's interaction, there are bound to be conflicts. Hence--disagreements, and the necessity for dispute resolution of one sort or another.
